To fulfill our mission of educating and inspiring all students to achieve their full potential in a safe and caring environment, the Kenora Catholic District School Board (KCDSB) is conducting a voluntary and confidential Student Census in November 2021 to better understand the backgrounds, experiences and needs of our students and communities.
Count Me In: Kenora Catholic Student Census 2021 will gather identity-based student data to ensure that our programming and resources can be accessed by all students. Are there any barriers in the way of students achieving their very best? For example, do disabilities, language spoken, cultural background, and so on impact student success? No specific students will be identified through the data, patterns and trends will be identified but not specific students.
The census is a Ministry of Education initiative that is intended to “foster policies, procedures and practices that are equitable and inclusive for all students – regardless of background, social identity or personal circumstances – and that support closing achievement and opportunity gaps.”
All students, families, and community members, are invited to learn more about the Kenora Catholic Student Census by attending one of our community sessions.
Join a virtual information session to learn: What is a student census? Why is Kenora Catholic completing a census? What questions will be asked? How will the census support equity and well-being? and more!
