In a video greeting, Dr. Anthony said, "what an honour it is to be receiving this award tonight. I always look back very fondly at my time as a student trustee and know that I developed a lot of important skills and attributes as a result of this position. I think the most important thing I took away from it was the reinforcement of the Catholic values I was brought up with both at home and within the school system. I really think it has helped lead me to the privileged position I have found myself in today, working as a doctor and helping people in their time of need, when they are unwell or injured. I don't think there is any doubt what a positive influence my Catholic education and my time as a student trustee have had on my life and hopefully as a result, the lives of those around me. What an absolute honour to be selected as a recipient of this award."

Anthony Silva works at the Gold Coast University Hospital as an Orthopaedic Doctor. He holds a Bachelor (Honours) and a Master of Science from Queen's University, a Bachelor of Medicine/ Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Queensland.
