Kindergarten students at École Ste Marguerite Bourgeoys took part in the Week of Action Against Poverty by getting artsy.

The students in Kristy Orr's Kindergarten class decorated coffee mugs with markers before donating them to the Kenora Fellowship Centre.

"One of our parents approached us and asked if we would like to participate in the Week of Action Against Poverty," said Orr. "She donated coffee mugs and markers to the classroom for the students to decorate."

All week the students have been learning about poverty.

"I really enjoyed having the students involved in the Week of Action and learning about helping others," stated Orr.

Kenora's Week of Action Against Poverty sees more than 30 community-based projects raise money and awareness for poverty.
