Today St. Louis School and the Northwestern Health Unit hosted an unveiling ceremony to showcase the new artwork installation that will be displayed in the reception area of the Northwestern Health Unit's CityView Office. The artwork was part of a collaborative project, with local artist, Holly Ann Friesen and a group of students from St. Louis School.

The Art Group is made possible thanks to the generosity of the Lake of the Woods Regional Community Foundation.

Learning Resource Teacher, Marnie Buffett talks about the project. "This is a huge success to have our students' artwork displayed in a public space. We are grateful to work with the Northwestern Health Unit and Holly Ann Friesen on this project. It's affirming and validating for the students to have their artwork recognized at a community level and that is going to transfer over to increased confidence and wellbeing."

Holly Ann Friesen explained that she helped the students throughout the process by guiding and facilitating their ideas. "This is all their ideas. I just gave them the tools to accomplish what they wanted to accomplish in the piece."

The Community Foundation supported the project.
