On June 8th St. Thomas Aquinas High School celebrated the brightest and best when it comes to the arts. The high school hosted the Stellars Banquet and Awards celebration.
This event recognizes and celebrates all the amazing forms of artwork. The various kinds of awards are Drama Club, Drama Production, Culinary Arts, Visual Arts, Anishinaabe Arts and music.
Mr. Len Mark was the guest speaker. He's been in the music industry for over 44 years and is responsible for bringing in the Symphony Orchestra to Kenora. In his talk he encouraged everyone to follow their passions and dreams because creativity can be a huge door opener in the business world.
The overall celebration was an amazing showcase of teamwork and creativity. The evening began with three students leading the group in prayer. Student artwork was displayed around the gymnasium and the Culinary Arts class created various types of cheesecakes. There were also live performances from students.
