The efforts that Terry Fox started in 1980 are still strongly supported today. Students all across the Kenora Catholic District School Board took part in the annual Terry Fox Run.

Students from École Ste-Marguerite Bourgeoys visited St. Thomas Aquinas High School and ran around the field. Some carried a t-shirt of Terry Fox.

Many students from Pope John Paul II School were running in support of their fellow student James Henry.

"We are really proud of efforts of our students and their passion and commitment to this event every year," says Phyllis Eikre, Director of Education. "It's a valuable way for us to teach our students about the impact of cancer and how they can get involved in supporting a cure. Thousands of dollars have been raised by our students over the years for Terry Fox Foundation."

The Kenora Catholic District School Board would like to thank all our families and community members who supported a student and made a pledge. All the proceeds will go to the Terry Fox Foundation and cancer research.
