Hats off to Reading

Group of students at Literacy week celebrationsSt. Louis School has had a lot of fun this week celebrating Literacy Week with the theme 'Hats off to Reading' with Dr. Seuss.

During the week the school had a skating party, students dressed up for "Wacky Wednesday" and parents visited the school for Books for Breakfast where they could lounge around reading and having a healthy snack with their school community.

The school also had multi-aged writing groups where each student had a chance to share a piece of writing within their groups. Teacher Michelle Robertson explains, "the students wrote about their gifts from God, and then shared something that they appreciated about each person's writing. It was a really nice experience to hear the students talk about each other's writing."
