Saints Girl's Hockey Team

Team on ice in their jerseysThe St. Thomas Aquinas High School girl's hockey team recently went to Chicago where they were the B Side Champions in the Chicago Girls Winter Classic tournament. The team played very well. This is what their coach Mark Richards had to say," the girls did a great job of following the game plan. And they put in the effort and the results show."

The team left a day early so they could explore Chicago before the tournament. They went to an American Hockey League game, the Shedd Aquarium and visited one of Chicago's most popular candy stores.

Overall it was a great experience for the team as many of the girls had not left the country before. "We took a lot of pictures and had a really good time," says Richards. "These memories that the girls have from this trip are probably going to last for the rest of their lives."
