On June 13th over 200 St. Thomas Aquinas High School Students gathered at Garrow Park for their first Ride Don't Hide event. The event was hosted in partnership with the Canadian Mental Health Association Kenora Branch.

Students raised $282 by either cycling or walking 5K or 10K. They also raised the awareness of the importance of mental health.

Sue Devlin, Mental Health Lead for the board talks about the event. "We are the second school in Canada to participate in this event. The aim of the event is to promote mentally healthy schools; engage students in positive dialogue about mental health and bust the stigma around mental illness as well as engage with our secondary students in physical activity to further promote wellness. Given that this is the first time we've ever participated in this event I'm really happy with how it turned out."
