Bella, a grade 2 student at École Ste-Marguerite Bourgeoys won first place in a recent poster contest from Safe Communities Kenora. Her poster was selected as the winner of the Safe Communities Kenora 2015 Provincial Seatbelt Campaign Poster Contest 'are you ready for a seatbelt?.'
Posters were collected from Grade 2 classes across the City of Kenora. Members of the Safe Communities Kenora Leadership Table chose 10 finalists. The posters were displayed at the Safe Communities Kenora Annual General Meeting and Bella's poster received top votes!
Bella's poster won her an iPad Mini which was generously donated by Young Drivers of Canada. The prize was presented by Maria Bagdonas, Center Director and Constable Laurie Harkoff of the OPP.
Bella's mom was peaking from the door when Maria and Laurie made the surprize presentation to the class.
