Today couldn't have been a more perfect day to celebrate our year end Pow Wow at the Catholic Campus hosted by Pope John Paul II School.
Classes of students participated in the dancing. Bannock burgers and other snacks and treats were served to staff and students.
The St. Thomas Aquinas High School drum was there as well as the Hanisha singers provided the traditional drumming and singing.
The event was on June 12th and started with a Grand Entry and Elder Prayer.
It was amazing to watch our students radiate pride and joy as they wore their traditional jingle dresses and other outfits and dance their own unique dances to the beat of the drum. Dancing and singing together is a unifying experience that everyone participated in.
