St. Louis School closed their Celebration of Learning event with a very special Grand Entry which was led by an Elder from Washagamis Bay First Nation. The Grand Entry is done to start the singing and drumming and dancing and bring in the dignitaries. In this case the dignitaries were the students from St. Louis School who were dressed in traditional wear and ready to dance around the drum and the circle. The school was honoured to have the White Fish Bay Singers at the school with the drum to provide the singing and drumming for the celebration.

"To see the pride in our students and watch them sing and dance to the traditional music is very meaningful," says Trudy Cederwall Principal. "This is an amazing way to close out our Celebration of Learning Event, experience the culture of our students and community and celebrate the end of another amazing school year."

The school community was very happy to close their Celebration of Learning in this very special way and many members of the Washagamis Bay community were there to celebrate too.
