The Kenora Catholic District School Board (KCDSB) holds sacred that each child is created in the image of God. Every person must be treated with dignity and respect. Every student has the right to be safe and to feel respected in and around the school.
Guided by our faith and the teachings of Jesus, the KCDSB is committed to school environments where each member feels valued, respected, and has a sense of belonging with the goal of enabling all learners to realize the fullness of humanity.
The KCDSB encourages all incidences of bullying to be reported to the school Principal/Vice Principal. Recognizing that some individuals may not feel comfortable with direct reporting, the KCDSB has set up a safe and anonymous way to report bullying. Students, parents/guardians and Catholic school community members can use the KCDSB Bullying Reporting Portal.
Bullying can be verbal, physical or electronic. Sometimes it focuses on racial, ethnic or religious differences, sexual issues or disabilities.
Our Bullying Reporting Portal is open around the clock but our schools are not. Incidents of bullying will be investigated school Administration during normal school hours.
If this is an emergency call 911.
Children and youth don’t have to be friends with everyone, but everyone has the right to be safe, feel welcome and treated with respect. At the KCDSB, as part of our
Catholic Graduate Expectations, we actively promote the development of positive character values, such as kindness, empathy, and forgiveness, and these values help prevent bullying.
