Student Injury Prevention

A key objective of the Kenora Catholic District School Board's Student Injury Prevention Initiative is to establish and maintain a culture of safety and mindfulness in all of our schools and to ensure that student injury prevention and safety is the highest priority for everyone.

This will be achieved by establishing and maintaining high expectations for student safety. Some of the key initiatives will be regular and consistent inspections of school premises and equipment, strict adherence to all safety regulations and guidelines and board procedures.

The Kenora Catholic District School Board promotes a proactive and preventative approach with a strong emphasis on early intervention measures as well as ongoing training and development for staff and students.

The Board has developed administrative procedures to ensure healthy learning and working conditions for all students and employees. Please refer to Section 300 - Student Procedures and Section 600 - Health and Safety Procedures.
