Fall and Spring Feasts

Elder Isobel White leads the dancing at the Fall FeastEach fall and spring we are honoured to hold a feast in celebration of the changing of the seasons. It has been a long-standing tradition at Kenora Catholic that started over 12 years ago. Each Feast is also open to everyone in the community so anyone can come and attend. It is an opportunity for celebration and socializing bringing students, teachers, staff and the community together.

All of our schools participate in the Fall and Spring Feasts. Each feast features an opening prayer as well as traditional drumming and dancing. Students are invited to wear their regalia to school and will often lead the dancing. The feast culminates with food being handed out to everyone in attendance.
