The Kenora Catholic District School Board was buzzing with energy on September 19, as our St. Thomas Aquinas High School student trustees received their prestigious Rite of Commissioning, marking a significant step in their educational journey. Jesse Peterson, Joshua Pitt, and Benjamin Favreau declared their commitment to bring leadership to their student colleagues and strive daily to live the values and teachings of the Catholic faith.
The Student Trustees, representing diverse backgrounds at St. Thomas Aquinas High School, demonstrated their commitment to making a positive impact on the education system. Their roles involve providing monthly reports, fostering communication between the student body and school board, and offering student voice and a fresh perspective at the boardroom table.
The September Board Meeting marked their first report and the beginning of a promising school year.
