Principal Transfers for the 2017 - 2018 School Year

The Kenora Catholic District School Board would like to announce the Principal transfers for the 2017/18 school year. Trudy Cederwall will be transferring from St. Louis School to Pope John Paul II School and Maureen Frankcom will be transferring from Pope John Paul II School to St. Louis School. These transfers will be effective August 29, 2017.

"We believe the principal transfers will be positive for our students because each principal will bring their skills and talents to their new school community. Both of these administrators are excellent leaders who are deeply committed to providing quality Catholic education to advance student achievement and well-being," says Phyllis Eikre, Director of Education. "Each of these principals brings gifts and talents that will serve their new school communities well. Maureen is deeply passionate about music, drama and academics and is highly organized. She has supported Pope John Paul II School through significant student achievement gains over the past few years. Trudy has extensive experience implementing positive school climate transformation during her time as principal at Mount Carmel School. Trudy has continued to nurture and cultivate relationships at St. Louis School within the school and the broader community."

"This change will provide our students with new and innovative learning experiences," says Paul White, Superintendent of Instructional Services. "I am very excited to support St. Louis School and Pope John Paul II School through this transition and I am confident that our principals' skills and abilities will ensure that our schools continue to excel in academics, arts and athletics."

The early announcements of these principal transfers will allow for extended transition time and will further allow for varied opportunities for the principals to gain insight and understanding of the local school operations and culture in advance of the new school year.
