Pope John Paul II School has a new Acting Vice Principal for the 2016/17 School Year. The Kenora Catholic District School Board is very proud to announce that Leanne Chisholm will be fulfilling the role of Acting Vice Principal at the school.

Leanne has a Bachelor of Education from Lakehead University, Primary/Junior Division Qualifications, Religion Part I, Reading Specialist, Computers in the Classroom Specialist and Special Education Specialist.

Leanne is a home-grown success within the Kenora Catholic District School Board. She brings a unique perspective having been a student, school secretary, teacher and now Acting Vice Principal. She has worked for the Kenora Catholic District School Board since 1997.

She has had many different leadership roles at Pope John Paul II School including Faith Ambassador, Mentor to New Teachers, Teacher-in-Charge and a member of the School Improvement Team.

As Acting Vice Principal, Leanne will oversee the areas of Special Education, Kindergarten and Teacher Learning Leadership. She will continue her work as a Learning Resource Teacher and will be supporting the use of technology in the classroom and will work with staff and students in Catholicity and faith development.
Pope John Paul II School is a Kindergarten to Grade 6 school located in the heart of the Catholic campus. Built in 2008, this is the newest elementary school within the Kenora Catholic District School Board.
