Gospel singer Chris Bray recently made an appearance at the Kenora Catholic District School Board, bringing a message of joy, hope, and inspiration to students, staff, and the community. Bray facilitated two retreats – one in Red Lake at St. John the Apostle Church, another in Kenora at the Notre Dame du Portage Church as well as visits to the schools.
Bray, known for his uplifting music and powerful live performances, hit the high notes, inspiring joy, recharging, and refreshing spirits through songs and uplifting stories.
Through his positive messages, humour, faith and passion, he had everyone laughing, clapping, and in tears at times. Bray left Kenora Catholic with the message of being open to God’s work, and that you never know when you are being called to serve in some small way.
The singer shared personal stories from his own experiences as a student, and the ways in which his teachers mentored and helped him achieve his goals.
Mariette Martineau, Religious Education and Family Life Coordinator organized the retreats. "It's important for us to take these moments, and step away. Chris challenged us to remember that we are God's children and God is faithful."
His message was met with enthusiastic delight and appreciation from everyone in attendance.

The two-day visit with Chris Bray was a great success, and many attendees left feeling reinvigorated and ready to tackle the challenges of the rest of the school year with renewed faith, energy and enthusiasm.
