The Board of TruAssociation Visits Kenora Catholicstees for the Kenora Catholic District School Board hosted some important visitors at their September 22nd Board Meeting. Patrick Daly, President and Nick Milanetti, Executive Director were in attendance from the Ontario Catholic School Trustees' Association (OCSTA).

Trustee, Paul Landry talks about why he felt the visit was important. "It was important for our OCSTA members to visit Kenora Catholic so they can see our vast geographic area and experience our board's culture and processes. It's also important for them to experience what is involved with travelling from Toronto to Kenora for meetings. It's also a great opportunity to build relationships and talk about issues."

At the Board meeting, Patrick Daly spoke about the current directives of the Ministry of Education as well as the role of the Ontario Catholic School Trustees' Association. "The role of the OCSTA is to serve the member board and promote and strengthen Catholic education in the province of Ontario."

Chair Frank Bastone presented the visitors with a commemorative plaque of the Face of Jesus to mark the visit.

The OCSTA members then travelled from Kenora to Thunder Bay for additional meetings as well as the Diocesan Conference before flying back to Toronto.
