St. Louis School had a few surprize visitors on Friday. Rikki Pedneult and Ken O'Neil from the Q104 morning show stopped by to make a special announcement. St. Louis School was the winner of Q104's draw for a free pizza lunch from Domino's in Kenora. The whole school will be enjoying a pizza lunch in the New Year.

St. Louis School, along with many other schools in the region, participated in Q104's Toys and Toonies campaign earlier in the month to collect new unwrapped toys or toonies. All the proceeds were donated to the Woman's Shelters in Northwestern Ontario.

While visiting the school Ken and Rikki also did a few short interviews with students from Darren Benson's Grade 3/4 class. Darren's class coordinated this fundraiser within the school. The interviews will be used for a presentation that Q104 is making to their corporate office about how Q104 supports the communities they do business in. Students had an opportunity to share their thoughts about the Toys and Toonies fundraising initiative and how they like to work together to help those in need.

A very special thank you to all the parents and families throughout the Kenora Catholic District School Board for supporting this initiative and so many other initiatives and fundraisers that happen during Christmas.
