For safety reasons, effective Monday, May 30th there will be a new process implemented for the Catholic Campus for loading students on school buses at the end of the day.

Students at St. Thomas Aquinas High School will no longer board the school bus in the bus queuing area. Instead, buses will load two at a time at the new Bus Loading Zone located in front of the music room at the high school (please see the diagram below).

Students at Pope John Paul II School and École Ste-Marguerite Bourgeoys will continue to board school buses in the same location that they previously did. However, the two schools will load together, two buses at a time.

For students that are picked up in the central parking lot located at St. Thomas Aquinas High School, parents and visitors are asked to keep their vehicles out of the bus lanes. People walking between the schools are required to utilize the designated sidewalks and cross walks. Please do not, at any time, walk across the parking lot and between buses and traffic. All staff at the Kenora Catholic District School Board have been asked to carefully monitor this area to ensure that nobody is walking across the parking lots and between buses and through traffic. For your safety, and the safety of others your cooperation is greatly appreciated in this matter.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact Andrew Poirier, Manager of Operational Services or Phyllis Eikre, Director of Education at (807) 468-9851.
