St. Louis School's Grade 6 Students Leave Their Mark on the School
The Grade 6 students at St. Louis School completed a commemorative mural on the front of the school to mark their last year at the school before they graduate to St. Thomas Aquinas High School for Grade 7.
Grade 6 student Lacy talks about why it was important for the students to leave their mark. "We wanted to leave our mark on the school so that when people drive by, or students get off the school bus, they will think of us. This is a great school and we really want people to remember us. One day maybe we will be taking our kids here and we'll walk by the mural and say hey I helped paint that flower."
The vibrant mural displays rolling hills and colorful flowers along the front of the school. The project was completed under the guidance of local artist Holly Ann Friesen as part of the Artist in Residence Program.
