Imagine, Create, Explore!

HAND IN HAND EARLY YEARS ARTS FESTIVAL

Saturday, April 7th 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM

Pope John Paul II School

All Kenora area 3 to 6-year-olds and their families welcome!

Here is a snapshot of what children and their families can explore:

  • Imagination Stations: cardboard creation, spray bottle mural painting, Lego creation, real musical instruments to play with and a puppet theatre

  • Drama station with costumes for dramatic play

  • Peek-a-Boo photo stations perfect for pictures!

  • Yoga Kids

  • Imagination Library

Not only that, but we have a lineup of over 12 local artists and KCDSB staff who will be providing the following experiences:

  • Family Art Games with Holly Ann Friesen

  • Imagination Landscapes in Chalk with Natasha Tsevende

  • Clay Creations with Mariette Martineau

  • Create Art with Robots led by Stephanie Sweeney

  • Mindful Calming Jars with Sue Devlin

  • Storytelling with Kat the Dog provided by Phil Burke

  • Traditional storytelling and drumming with Howard Copenace

  • Sing along with Mark LaBelle

  • Edible Art with Erika Olsen

Imagine, create, explore! The Earl Years Arts Festival is an experiential, arts-based play day open to all Kenora area families. Come and spend the morning with your little one experiencing the joy of play through music, dance, drama and visual arts. No registration is required. This is an informal, drop-in, festival experience and all are welcome!

This event is tailored to families exploring the arts together. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Family Art Jamboree

The third Annual Family Arts Jamboree is scheduled for Saturday, April 28th. This event is open to all KCDSB students from Kindergarten to Grade 6. Registration opens on April 11th. Watch for registration information coming soon!
