On Tuesday, December 19th the Kenora Catholic District School Board held its annual elections for the Chair and Vice Chair of the Board. Frank Bastone was acclaimed as Chair and Teresa Gallik was acclaimed as Vice Chair.
Bastone is entering his seventh consecutive year as the Chair of the Kenora Catholic District School Board. Gallik is entering her third consecutive year as Vice Chair.

The Kenora Catholic District School Board Trustee compliment consists of six elected Trustees and one First Nation Trustee position. The First Nation Trustee position is currently vacant.

The Board also has one student trustee who is elected by the students of St. Thomas Aquinas High School.

The Board functions as in accordance with a Policy Governance model.

The term of the current Board of Trustees commenced on December 1, 2014 and will end on November 30, 2018.

Trustees meet the first Tuesday of each month for Policy Governance Committee Meetings and the third Tuesday of each month for Regular Board Meetings.
According to the Board's Operating Policy, elections to the office of Chair and Vice Chair of the Board takes place at the Annual Board Meeting in December each year.
