Emergency School Closures for Tuesday, December 5th
Please be advised that due to severe weather conditions, road conditions/closures and snow accumulation within Northwestern Ontario, the following school boards will be closing schools and Board Offices in communities as listed below for Tuesday, December 5th:

The Keewatin-Patricia District School Board (all schools)

Conseil scolaire de district catholique des Aurores boréales (Red Lake/Ear Falls, Dryden, Ignace)

The Kenora Catholic District School Board (all schools)

The Northwest Catholic District School Board (Dryden, Sioux Lookout)
The decision to close schools is not made lightly. The severe weather conditions have made it difficult for schools and boards to maintain safe parking lots, playgrounds and sidewalks on our school properties. We understand that this decision has an impact on our families and staff and appreciate your patience during this severe weather situation. While we know that our students and families are best served when our schools are open, our first priority is the safety of our staff and students.
We anticipate that our schools will be open and welcoming students on Wednesday, December 6th once snow removal services are able to respond to the situation and roads are once again cleared and safe for use.

** UPDATE ** Please be advised that the Child Care Centers at Ecole Ste-Marguerite Bourgeoys and Pope John Paul II School will also be closed tomorrow.
