The Christmas spirit started early this year in Mrs. Temple's Grade 9 Religion Class at St. Thomas Aquinas High School. The class participated in Operation Christmas Child, packing shoeboxes full of presents for children in developing countries.
"The boxes were packed with small toys, school supplies, crafting items and all kinds of things to put a smile on a small child's face," says Nicole Temple. "The students enjoyed working together to collect the items and pack the boxes. It was meaningful for us to imagine the excitement of a child across the world opening one of our shoeboxes at Christmas."
The Operation Christmas Child program is through Samaritan's Purse International Relief Canada.
