The entire KCDSB community came together on Friday, October 27th for a System Spiritual Development Day that was led by Father Douglas Jeffrey, OMI. The day began with a celebration of the Eucharist that included a grand entry that incorporated a smudging provided by Shelly Tom, FNMI Coordinator. The Spiritual Development Day focused on providing a deeper understanding of the testament and discovering how our life experiences shape how we read, understand and respond to the sacred scripture. Digital bible links were provided to all staff members to reference scripture during the day. Thank you to Father Douglas for deepening our spiritual knowledge of sacred scripture. Father Douglas has served in formation ministry, parish ministry, retreat ministry and leadership of his order. The KCDSB would also like to extend a sincere thank you to Mariette Martineau, Religious Education and Family Life Coordinator for organizing the retreat.
