The final numbers are in. The Buick Drive for a Students and Kenora Chevrolet Buick GMC Fundraiser hosted on June 10th raised $3,220 for the St. Louis School Breakfast program. During the fundraiser, 161 people test drove a Buick to help raise money for the school. For every test drive, Buick donated $20 to the school's breakfast program. The school also raised an additional $670 at the onsite barbeque.

Thank you Buick Drive for Students and Kenora Chevrolet Buick GMC and thank you to everyone in Kenora for supporting this community event!

Four out of five schools within the Kenora Catholic District School Board have a breakfast program that is run by school volunteers. The programs are funded in part through the Northwestern Health Unit's Student Nutrition Program, donations from the local community and school fundraisers. On average between 20 - 30 students access the breakfast program before school begins.

All the schools within the Kenora Catholic District School Board have signed up for the Northwestern Health Unit's Northern Fruit and Vegetable Program that will begin in January 2018. The Northern Fruit and Vegetable Program will provide students with an additional two servings of fresh produce each week with an emphasis on Ontario-grown produce.
