(December 7, 2016) - According to the Fraser Institute's 2016 Annual Report Card on Ontario's Elementary Schools, Kenora Catholic District School Board's elementary schools received top marks in Kenora and Red Lake. The Fraser Institute's annual Report Card on Ontario's Elementary Schools was released on December 4, 2016. This report uses grade 3 and 6 Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO) test results to calculate each school's overall rating out of 10.
"Although this report is just one piece of the whole picture about a school, we know that our schools are achieving success for students in the areas of reading, writing and math," says Phyllis Eikre, Director of Education. "What this report tells us is that we are experiencing internal consistency in student achievement across our system. Our focus on arts, academics and athletics are providing a balanced education for our students."
