The Kenora Catholic District School Board is pleased to announce that the recruitment of a Vice Principal for École Ste-Marguerite Bourgeoys has ended with Hilary Aitken recently accepting the position. She will transition into the role on January 8, 2018. Hilary will be taking the place of Jacqueline Lacroix who held the position since 2015 and recently announced her retirement effective December 31, 2017.

Quick Facts:
Hilary holds Principal's Qualifications Part 1 and will complete Part 2 in December 2017. She has a Bachelor of Education and Bachelor of Arts - Second Language Teaching from the University of Ottawa. She also is a specialist in French as a Second Language and Integration of Information and Computer Technology Instruction.

Hilary has worked for the Kenora Catholic District School Board for 14 years as a classroom teacher, is the school's Innovative Technology Teacher Lead and has most recently acted as the Vice Principal at École Ste-Marguerite Bourgeoys.

École Ste-Marguerite Bourgeoys is the only single-track French Immersion School in Northwestern Ontario. The school is a Junior Kindergarten to Grade 6 Catholic French Immersion school located in the heart of the Catholic campus. Students can begin their French Immersion education in Kindergarten and continue at St. Thomas Aquinas High School where they can graduate with a French Certificate and their high school diploma. École Ste-Marguerite Bourgeoy's French Immersion program began in 1986 and has celebrated high academic success and achievement for students for over 31 years. The school is proud to grow bilingual graduates.
