Energy Management Plan

The Ontario Provincial Government has committed to help public agencies better understand and manage their energy consumption. As part of this commitment, Ontario Regulation 397/11 under the Green Energy Act 2009 requires public agencies, including municipalities, municipal service boards, school boards, universities, colleges and hospitals to report on their energy consumption and green house gas (GHG) emissions annually beginning in 2013, and to develop and implement energy Conservation and Demand Management (CDM) Plans starting in 2014.The purpose of the Kenora Catholic District School Board's (KCDSB) Energy Conservation and Demand Management Plan is to develop a framework for the board to understand the historical impact of its operations on greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, and to take action by setting GHG reduction targets.

The Kenora Catholic District School Board's Energy Conservation and Demand (ECDM) Plan was developed to meet Ontario Regulation 507/18 requirements.  Please click here to view the Board's 5 year Energy Conservation and Demand Management Plan -  2019-2023 and the Energy Consumption and Greenhouse Gas Emissions Reporting for 2020 and the Energy Efficiency Report Briefing Paper 2023 presented March 2023.
