For the 2021-2022 school year, the Ministry of Education has implemented mandatory self-screening for all staff and students in schools in Ontario.
Parents/guardians of elementary (Kindergarten to Grade 8), students to screen their child using the COVID-19 School and child care screening tool prior to sending their child to school every morning.
All staff, secondary students (9 – 12) and visitors will continue with the active, self-attestation screening process that was established last school year.

All staff and students who are experiencing symptoms consistent with COVID-19 as identified in the screening tool must not attend school and should follow the guidance provided in the screening tool, which may include seeking appropriate medical attention as required and/or getting tested for COVID-19.
The Kenora Catholic District School Board emails all staff, the online school screening tool daily to support the province's mandate. More information is available on Ontario.ca/reopening schools.
