St. Louis Bible Camp Celebrates 24 Years of Community and Faith
Earlier this month, St. Louis Bible Camp was alive with joy and laughter as kids had a blast enjoying a wide range of camp activities. From games and crafts to swimming and nature hikes, the campers experienced the best of what summer has to offer. The dedicated all-volunteer staff ensured that every child had a memorable and enriching time.
What sets St. Louis Bible Camp apart is its all-volunteer staff. Leading the camp are dedicated co-directors Derek Favreau, a trustee, and Jordan Temple, Vice Principal of SMB. Their leadership and commitment have been instrumental in the camp's success.
The senior counsellors are a remarkable group, comprising teachers from Kenora Catholic, members of St. Louis parish, and former campers. Their experience and dedication ensure that every camper has a memorable and enriching experience. Junior counsellors, who are students from STAHS, bring energy and enthusiasm, creating a vibrant and supportive environment.
The camp also thrives under the spiritual guidance of Priest Father Allen, who visits three times during the week to celebrate mass. His presence, along with the support of Bishop Colli, reinforces the camp's strong foundation in faith.
As St. Louis Bible Camp looks forward to celebrating its 25th anniversary next year, it continues to be a shining example of community spirit, volunteerism, and unwavering faith. This milestone is a testament to the camp’s enduring impact and the joyful experiences it provides for all who attend.
